DREAMING DALI BY ALEXIS BOHAS
Salvador Dali is everybody's favorite surrealist. Take a glance at his nightmare-ish, dream-like world at the latest LACMA exhibit showcasing. Sure we all know him for painting those melting clocks but did you know he was a Hollywood hipster? His mad skills can be seen in the Alfred Hitchcock film Spellbound, which he created backdrops for, and he even took a stab at drawing cartoons for a Disney movie based on his eccentric imagination. You can view this unusual and abstract fairytale in one of the many rooms displaying his wide array of work. Although most of his paintings are on a much smaller scale, his contribution to the big screen is truly "high art". What was he on? And where can I get some?
