My PERM for EB3 has been approved on July 2008. My I-140 is pending. 485 has not been submitted yet. I don't have EAD card either. For some reason, I have to change job.
My question is, if my current employer will not revoke my current I-140 sponsorship, even I have left company, and in case my current I-140 will be approved, can my priority date be carried over?

It is not just enough for you to have the qualifications for EB2. The job requirements also should have that requirements. So in the PERM application - the job requirements has to be specified. I think the lawyer messed up the PERM process

It is ok to have more than 2 in U.S. Again, it all depends on an individual.

If the exec is laid off, the dependent cannot continue working.
All beneficiaries of the petition must leave the US immediately.
I don't think there is any regulation that the employer needs to pay for relocation, but usually, they will provide you a one-way ticket back to your homecountry, but that will be the least of your worries.
Avoid working on L2 if you think the L1 sponsoring company is not trust-worthy or stable.
An L-1 work visa is issued to an executive of a company that has worked with his/her company outside of the USA for at least one year. Dependents receive L-2 visas and a spouse can apply for an EAD. Trouble is, if the exec is laid off, all of the dependant visas immediately expire and both the exec and his/her spouse must leave the USA!

Just got 3 transfer notices from CSC saying applcations transfered to NSC. Applcations reached July23rd at NSC. 140 approved from TSC.
Anybody in similar situation....

This is strange and I don't know if anyone has come across this situation. My I-140 is under appeal process from last 5 months and today I got this update on my I-485 that "my case has been sent to ADMIN APPEALS OFFICE location for processing ". There is no update in I-140 or I-290B forms date online. Does anyone come across same situation then please share with us. :confused:

My AP was approved while my wife's it was denied with reason "there is no pending I-485". My PD is 22 Nov 05 which is not yet current so I don't understand why they denied derivative spouses petition while mine was approved. We had an interview back in January and everything went on well there. Did anyone have similar issue? What are my options? I do not want to spend money and file for motion to reopen.

I am a labour substitution case pd feb 2002 filed 140 in June at NSC. My 140 has been pending for more than a year. Now recently I received 2 year ead.

I do not understand why they grant EADs when your I-140 is not approved. The reason I bring this up is if a person loses his/her job and your I-140 is revoked, the EAD is useless. You cannot use AC21 for that because your I-140 is not approved.

My lawyers para legals screwed up my case and sent the initial application
to California instead of Nebraska:mad:.
My case was filed on jul 30,but till now I have not received anything.
While all my friends, colleagues have received their receipt notice and finger print. On calling CSC they refused the divulge anything and told me to wait for 90 days. My lawyer says it will be processed and my case is safe. But I do not trust him as he is the one who screwed it up.
Is there anyone else whose applicationwas sent to the wrong service centre
and if so have they received their receipt notices?
This is for all the gurus out here in this forum. What are your views?
Will my application be accepted by USCIS and which centre will it be processed.

I think those bills will only be related to toughening border security n patrol..

But if we have a coordinated campaign to target the senators with letters/web faxes...who know we might be able to get some interim relief as part of the border security bills.
We should atleast try to recapture the visa's lost since 2000.
I for one am sending letters to both my senators. I read in one of the posts that sending letters via snail mail is ideal, along with basic info about your I140.
There is an excellent template of such letter in one of the media campaign thread.

In my case I applied for my MIL visa extension on March 15th. We received the approval last week. Her I-94 expired on May 15th, we chose to wait till we heard the decision.
I only requested for 4 months. Also, this is the second extension I applied for my MIL and this is her 4th visit to US. My take, you should be good as long as you state a valid reason and show good financial support..

actually there is, if you do it my way you see an x, y and z level: there you can enter numbers, for example x= 3 and Y=5 and then you will see he will rotate differant.

Unfortunately, we cannot search by name. You may want to provide keywords used in your question so members can find your question. I have searched for all questions related to legal immigration in all categories and weighed my opinion one way or another.
Let's hope the IV core takes up this issue and writes up a carefully crafted question so we can all benefit from the resulting voting.
Now, go and have yourself some fun at a NYE party! I hope I am the only lame-o writing posts this NYE (my wife's sick and we're home).
