I have a pending I-485.
My case was file in jan 02. I have approved labour and I-140. I filed my I-485 in Jun 2005 and have an EAD and parole. How do I find when can I file my spouse's case.

You PD has to be current to file I-485 for you spouse/dependent. Since you filed for I-485 in Jun '05, and based on ur PD, i guess ur case must be EB2. If EB2, then you are in a better position alteast compared to many folks here.. The PD for Mar '06 per DOS, Visa Bulletin, for EB2 is 01JAN02, Since your case has a PD of Jan 02, (Date not provided by you),

Watch for April VISA BULLETIN, The DOS publishes this ususally sometime in first 2 weeks of each month for the following month. If the Date moves forward you should be able to file sometime in April, assuming the Date moves forward. Also you can use this time to prepare the application.

Hi Everyone,
I need help urgently , my port of entry is SFO and on the I94 I have not written my complete name as I didn't understand the the importance of I-94 . When I tried to apply for SSN i was told that the names has to match with the name written in I-94 at the port of entry and the person said that I have no other option to change the name so I agreed upon the name which on SSN . Now I googled out and came to know that I can change the name in port of entry . It would be of great help for me if any one can help me out getting out of this situation .

You are paroled into US until Dec 05, 2009. But if you want to travel outside US after July 29, you better apply for AP now.

My 6 years of H1B will be up soon and my NIW I-140 petition is pending. I have received my EAD card though.
What options do I have - will I be able to extend my H1B for another year? Can I use the EAD card as it is without getting the I-140 approved, even though it is risky?

Before i begin let me say its my mistake :(
My EAD expires Oct 08 and my lawyer sent me the forms to file in and send it back to him to be filed in Aug 08. But it was delayed by me till last week and was filed yesterday. what are my chances of getting EAD and continue working. In June 08 i went to India and came back using AP so i am not in H1 (i assume).
what should i do if i dont get EAD approved before oct 08?

It's a BAD idea. It has been discussed for several 100 pages, and thrown out of the window by the experts and core group.
Remember couple of things:
1. Suicide attempt is illegal in the USA
2. Satyagrah is to correct any injustcie. If there are too many people applying for GC than the available number of visas then long wait is inevitable, that's not injustice.
3. Satyagrah/hunger strike is a last resort meaning only when you run out of all other option such as Legal Battle, contacting Govt/politicians etc. Did you file a law suit yet about revised July visa bulletin?

I have appied EAD and AP together for me and my wife.
I didn't receive the receipt notice for my wife EAD but the check is in cashed. when my wife called TEXAS center, IO told it was rejected by mistake and reprocessed.
She will call again tomorrow to find more. Her online status is still, petition is not signed and rejected. Application mailed back. But I didn't get the any document in mail.
