I bought .mac last year and don't use it at all. The new webmail interface puts the email app on par with gmail except gmail still gives much more storage.
Backup is OK but I find SuperDuper to an external hard drive to be more reliable (I couldn't get .mac to restore my backup when my hard drive crashed). The backup software is again hindered by the lack up storage. It might be more useful if at least my iTunes purchases were automatically uploaded to .Mac.
Finally, I figured out how to subscribe to a google calendar with iCal and since then don't care if my calendar is in .Mac.
Hopefully, Leopard and Time Machine will bring new uses for .Mac and a reason for me to buy it again but right now it is a $100 a year place to host my website which I could get for much cheaper as well...Please don't flame. This is just my perspective.

The world's biggest Viper dealer is up here about 45mins away from me. Woodhouse is THE place to go if you want to buy, or just gawk at, a ton of sweet Vipers. They're one of Dodge's biggest clients in the motorsports world, and expanded that to the street cars. Pretty sweet place. I bought my Talon from them years ago, and got to see The Viper Pit, as they call it. It is a sight to behold....
I've attended SCCA World Challenge GT racing where Woodhouse Performance raced vipers. Always loved watching the Vipers, Corvettes, Porsches, and Cadillacs mix it up and swap paint for an hour. Some of the customer reviews on the iTunes download page for this app are saying that it's native resolution is for iPhone, not the iPad. If true, #soLame

I actually meant buyer. That was a typo. Fixed that. I'm not saying I want the seller to receive the money (because we all know PayPal won't let that happen) but the buyer does deserves to lose his money for his own stupidity.
If you go on the buyers eBay profile and look at his previous bids.. they're almost all on phones. Seems a bit fishy to me...

Coming from an Apple / Mac Fan and non iPhone or iPodTouch kind of Guy & Girl, I sure Hope Apple keeps Sharp on Macs... I was at my 1st and 5th Grader's Parent - Teacher Conference at Chautauqua Lake Central School on 11/18/10 and there were 3 or 4 Macs in each Home Room... I got to believe Steve knows that if they get the Kids Hooked on Apple that they'll be an Apple Buyer for iLife.... We are also ProSumer kind of FCP people and Love our Mac versus the Windows world... Get Your Kids Hooked on iKidsFishing and not on Drugs leads to an Apple a Day keeps the Doctor away... Get it...? I restored my iPod Photo using iTunes without problem. Then it said to connect to the wall charger. I did that and nothing happened after 30 minutes. I connected it back to my computer using a USB (not Firewire) cable and the battery icon came up (not animated, just flashed).
So what can I do at this point?

Wow, a lot of unethical people on here. This is totally a scam, and the seller relied on the buyer assuming he was a normal upstanding human being who was selling a legitimate product. There is no way that is right, ethical, or moral. The seller deserves to be jailed.
Yeah people here are crazy. Although given how keen so many people here on committing various crimes without and regret or concern, it is not surprising.

i hope apple will release a nice external drive...though, insofar the only external optical drive from apple can trace back to the age of CD-Rom...Even better, the blank media are only $50 each. How economical. I can buy one 25GB Blue-ray blank for $50 or two-hundred seventy eight 4.3 GB SL DVD-R blanks = 1194 GB of space or 1.2 Terrabytes for the same $50. Blu-ray wins hands down. :rolleyes:
I love new technology. And spending tons more for it is the best.

Maybe as a workaround, you could move the "index.htm" file from the root of your CD into the folder (and rename the index.htm in the folder to something else), and put a new file that (only) automatically sends you to the index.htm in the folder (this page shouldn't have any content, only a simple redirect to the index file in the folder). That way you don't have to mess with moving up in the folder tree. :) Unless, of course, you have multiple folders and need to point to "index.htm" in each .. then this obviously wouldn't work. Is this the issue at hand?

Sametime 7.5 just went GOLD+ for the past few weeks. Its interface looks pretty good and the ability to keep the history in a chat for INDIVIDUAL ppl that participated - for a limited time pre set by the user, or indefinately. But its STILL buggy, crashing on end on multiple machines (WinXP SP2) without a cause; that we can figure out.
BTW; I work at IBM here in Toronto for their client BNSF.
This should be interesting to see how Apple rolls with this announcement.

I think Apple waited too long to bring the iPhone to Verizon. By the time they did many diehard Verizon customers had just bought Android alternatives. I think Apple got a little too sucked in by the exclusive money from AT&T, but in the end it might end up hurting them.
Now Apple is going to have to fight to get those customers in the coming year or two, all the while Android is getting better and better.
I'm an iPhone 4 customer on AT&T, but I'm still able to see the big picture. They should have had the iPhone on Verizon a year earlier.

twitter to me at a personal level that RSS did at a website level. the way i use twitter is to "follow" people that mean something to me. Graphic designers, musicians, comedians, celebrities, and of course friends. Its great to get incite in what these creative minds are doing through out the day. I don't care what a certain person ate for breakfast, but that certain person might have a really awesome link to share. thats the key to twitter. link sharing.
I also use twitter to research. If i am interested in a product, i will type in the product into twitter search and you get instant results to what real people are saying in real time. Thats how i use Twitter, and see some of its benefits.
