As mentioned by my HR attorney applied my labour application electronically on march 17th and forwarded me a case number starting with c , so i am assuming it was appl;ied at chicago center.
Its more then two months now i did not have any update from my HR inturn from attorney.
At the time of aplying attorney did not took any signature either from me or my HR , she said we have to sign at the later stages.
My fear is I might get a query or it may go into incomplete staus as it was not filled properly.
I am not sure if it should be filed in that way ....
Let me know if i am heading in right direction ...

What happens if I get my EAD after 180 days of concurrent filing i-140 & i-485, and my employer no longer has a vacancy for me. Can I start at another job or do I have to refile the i-140. (I'm not presently working for the company yet)

Here is my recent experience. I have only 2yrs out of 6yrs of H1B.Recently i applied for extension(applied for 3yrs instead of 2yrs based on approved 140) and received RFE from USCIS and asked for approved copy of 140. We send it and got the approval.

Hi,
I have my AP approved and H1B approved until 2010 but have an expired H1B Visa and I plan to extend my H1B visa some time next year.
I am planning on some business trips and would like to re-enter US multiple times using my Advance parole. Any issues with this?
Once I re enter using AP, can I go back to India and apply for H1B visa extension based on the approved H1B.
Appreciate your responses on this.

Does anybody know what date NSC is processing APs for July-August filers?
NSC people have gotten 3 copies. but I think both TSC and CSC people have gotten only 2 copies. There is no need to worry I guess.

I am not sure this is applicable in case of Green Card too even when the dates are not current for your category.
I guess 99.99% won't able to use it, but at least it will be helpful for 0.01% people.

They forgot to metion one more track, "Are you jewish?", as they have lots of programs for jewish people to migrate into united states. I was suprised to meet so many of so called jews in my office from all over the world (mainly from Russia, Ukarine and such..) who come in through those programs. They are eligible to apply for green card as soon as they enter United States and get it in no time. And can apply for citizenship after 5 years just like everyone else.

Krishnam70, they require police certificates for any country where you lived in the last 10 (not 5!) years. Also, fingerprints must be sent to FBI to get "certified", and that can take 10-12 weeks nowadays.
NEVER bother the consulate with questions regarding your application status. Give it at least a year since they accept your documents. If you can't wait for so long, google "CAIPS notes" and use this process to get info about your application. However, if you have specific questions regarding your application/situation, the consulate will respond within 1-2 business days. Just make sure to include your file number (you'll be provided with it upon acceptance of your documents) at the top of each email message or response. I notified the consulate about my FBI fingerprints delay and asked some questions specific to my case. When I reviewed my CAIPS notes, I found out that they keep track of all communication, including email.
I'm almost done with my Canadian PR process and moving with my family to Calgary in October.
I am from india and a Canadian PR holder who has done successful landing. I did not provide a police certificate from India. I had lived in the US 4 years before I applied for Canadian PR .If you are applying from the US they do not require you to provide the PC certificate I think. May be you are correct about FBI verification, it used to take 3 weeks to get the fingerprints certified from FBI ( As i said the instructions are on the form so did not elaborate further on that). No phone correspondence with consulate is encouraged/possible during the wait time, all inquiries need to made using the fax/regular mail quoting your file number for reference and yoy will get response. CAIPS is a good way to see the progress but i guess u still need to wait 52 weeks either way to get started.

I have been interviewed a couple of times at a very good stable company and the engineering manger seem to like my skill sets and experience. The issue is the company has no previous experience with H1 visa whatsoever....They haven't said they wont do it..but they are bit edgy in terms of how legally involved it would be...I have a final interview with the HR boss next week and am looking for ideas to quell their H1 anxiety...
I'd appreciate if some one can point to any websites/documents/ideas...some thing to show the HR guy that its not as complex or involved process and they are perceiving it to be would be great..
